Over 30 Years of Experience: From Traditional Chinese Confinement to Modern Postpartum Care

Over 30 years ago, I began my career providing traditional Taiwanese postpartum confinement care, primarily serving Taiwanese families. Over time, my services expanded to families from mainland China, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Malaysia.

Today, we serve many American-born Chinese (ABC) families and families from diverse cultural backgrounds, including American, German, French, Indian, Japanese, Korean, and other international families.

Throughout these years, I have managed nearly every aspect of my business personally—from client consultations, interviews, nanny selection, and scheduling to contracts and resolving unexpected challenges.

I do more than simply match families with nannies. I personally interview, screen, and train new caregivers joining my team. I guide them in newborn care, understanding different family expectations, infant safety, professional responsibilities, and proper work ethics.

Over the years, I have worked with many wonderful families, but I have also experienced contract disputes, payment disagreements, and unreasonable working expectations. These experiences have taught me to improve our contracts, strengthen our service procedures, and protect both families and caregivers.

Interviews are not only an opportunity for families to select a nanny, but also a chance for my caregivers and me to determine whether the arrangement is a good fit for everyone.

I strongly believe that choosing a great confinement nanny is not about where she comes from. What matters most is her experience, character, responsibility, professional skills, and willingness to continue learning.

We respect traditional Chinese postpartum confinement practices while embracing modern newborn care methods and updated infant safety guidelines.

Over 30 years of experience have taught me that excellent postpartum care is not just about caring for mothers and babies. It is also about creating a safe, respectful, and trusting relationship between families and caregivers.
