Some responsibilities overlap, but the services and care arrangements can differ.

A Chinese confinement nanny often focuses on newborn care, preparing traditional postpartum meals, and helping the mother rest during the confinement period. A postpartum doula provides practical, emotional, and educational support as the family adjusts to life with a newborn.

Postpartum doulas may work scheduled shifts of 8–10 hours, depending on the arrangement. Our confinement nannies live in the family’s home and provide daytime and overnight support, with 6–7 hours of scheduled rest each day. The rest schedule is agreed upon before service begins.

Our live-in care is available for 30, 45, 60, or 90 days. Meals and care responsibilities are discussed before booking to suit each family’s needs.

Training, experience, schedules, and duties vary by caregiver. Before booking, families should confirm the working hours, rest arrangements, meal preparation, and newborn care responsibilities
