Hello, my name is Lisa, and I have proudly served families in the San Francisco Bay Area for over 20 years through my Chinese confinement nanny and postpartum caregiver referral service.
My journey began when I moved to the United States at the age of 15. I received my education here and became familiar with both Western values and approaches to healthcare. At 25, I started my first newborn care service, focusing on Chinese families. By the age of 30, I had become a licensed nurse and worked closely with doctors in clinical settings, gaining valuable insight into maternal and infant health.
Over the years, I developed a care approach that combines traditional Chinese postpartum practices with my nursing background and experience in the United States. Whether your family comes from an Asian, Western, or multicultural background, I help you find postpartum support that respects your needs, preferences, and traditions.
I personally train and thoroughly background-check every nanny I refer through my agency. I maintain strict standards for professionalism, experience, honesty, and reliability. If a nanny no longer meets those standards, I stop referring her—no exceptions.
Some independent nannies may offer lower rates, but families should carefully verify their identity, experience, references, and work eligibility. My commitment is to help families find dependable caregivers and make informed decisions, with trust and quality at the heart of my service.
I understand the importance of postpartum recovery—physically, emotionally, and culturally. Traditional Chinese confinement emphasizes rest, nourishing meals, and practical help for the mother. Postpartum doula support often includes emotional reassurance, parent education, and help with everyday newborn care. These approaches can complement each other, and I help families choose an arrangement that suits them while respecting their healthcare providers’ guidance.
Our confinement nannies provide live-in support with newborn care, postpartum meals, and daily tasks related to the mother and baby. Care is available for 30, 45, 60, or 90 days, with agreed daily rest periods for the caregiver. Support for twins can also be arranged.
I offer free consultations and am always happy to answer your questions. If you are looking for an experienced postpartum care team, I am here to help you discuss your options and find a suitable caregiver.
Please contact me with your due date, location, preferred number of care days, and whether you would like postpartum meals.
