My Story: From Caring for Children to Supporting New Parents
I was born in Taiwan and moved to the United States as a teenager, where I attended a private high school and college. After becoming a mother, I ran a home daycare to balance family and work. I later worked in a hospital before moving into postpartum meal preparation, confinement center services, and eventually helping families find postpartum nannies.
My background is rooted in hands-on care for babies, children, and new parents. In the early days, I accompanied new nannies to clients’ homes and personally demonstrated how to care for their babies, sometimes staying into the evening to guide them. Today, I continue to personally teach caregivers and share what I have learned through experience.
Growing up and building my life in the United States has helped me understand both Chinese postpartum traditions and the expectations of parents raised here. I help families communicate their preferences and guide caregivers in understanding each household’s routines, values, and choices.
When recommending a nanny, I look beyond experience alone. I value practical caregiving skills, patience, honesty, reliability, and respect for the family. Every recommendation takes time, careful listening, and thoughtful communication with both the parents and the caregiver.
I continue to learn and update my knowledge because I take this responsibility seriously. Each family places its trust in me, and I put care and effort into every placement.
